Keeper Care Hub - Melbourne Zoo

Today we were invited to spend the day at the Melbourne Zoo and enjoy the opening days of the 'Keeper Care Hub', recently introduced at the Carousel Park.

Launching just in time for school holidays, you are able to receive information from zoo keepers and see various birds and animals up close, with talks and presentations running 3 times each day.

Hunter was lucky enough to have a close encounter with a Rainbow Lorikeet, and instructed him to fly back and forth whilst he and the keeper enticed the bird with nectar.

Today we saw Macaws and Coatis, and you can also find out how carnivores take part in health care and enrichment programs.

Kids and adults alike can experience animal training and feeding sessions throughout the zoo and various times which will no doubt keep everybody entertained.

The 'Keeper Care Hub' is running for a limited time until November 10th 2019 so make sure you check it out.

Don't forget that children under 16 are given free entry on weekends and school holidays too!
