Healesville Sanctuary Holiday Activites
Today we explored the animals and play spaces at Healesville Sanctuary.
Of course you can find all Australian creatures great and small in a beautiful bush setting, but there are also plenty of other things to keep the whole family entertained.
Once we had explored the animals and reptiles we set about to test out the play zones. They have recently launched a new space that encourages kids to explore, and use their imagination. The Sanctuary are big believers in learning through play, and this new play space, featuring an enchanted forest, raised sand-pits and water play is perfectly designed to help kids do exactly that!
They are also running an event the ‘Sanctuary Summer Festival’ until January 28th 2019.
You can find live music, enjoy a beverage at the pop up bar, have something to eat (only served after 12.00pm) or chill out on the grass and play giant Jenga or Connect 4. The best bit, entry to the sanctuary is free for kids all school holidays so do yourselves a favour and get out there from some fresh air and fun before the busy year gets underway!
