'Tis the lead up to Christmas, and a time that many of us reflect on the year that has been. It is a time of year where we should be thinking of others and being grateful for the good things in our lives, but sometimes this sentiment is lost in the mayhem. For me, the past year has been full of ups and downs, as I'm sure it has been for many reading this. Sometimes it is easy to focus on the negative or tough times, rather than look at. all the good that we have in our lives.
Take some time to think about all the beautiful little things that you have to be happy about. Do you have health? Because some people are suffering and don't have theirs.
Do you have someone to love? Because some people are still searching for their other half. Do you have a child to put to bed at night? because some people wish for nothing more than the child they never had, or lost.
Do you have clean clothes and food on the table? Because some people don't know where they will lay their head tonight, or when they will next eat.
It is easy to get caught up in your day to day life, and I am 100% guilty of not realising just how lucky I am at times. If we spent a little more time focusing on the positives, we would be much more fulfilled and happy - consider this your reminder to recognise all the blessings in your life, both big and small!
