A reminder about life...
As many of you may already know my husband had a significant health scare this week being diagnosed with extensive DVT in one of his legs. As a super fit, active 33 year old who has always looked after himself, this definitely came as a surprise. He is on the mend now but will require medical intervention for some time. Despite the fact that the initial shock has warn off, it has definitely left our household with a different perspective on life.
You see, sometimes it takes getting through a particularly difficult time or event to make you realise just what really matters in life. We all think we have forever to do or say the things we want to but sometimes fate has other plans. We worry if we are good enough parents to our children, we stress about our appearance or how others may perceive us. We think that we have all the time in the world to start following our dreams, or think that their will be other times to say what we feel, or go out and achieve our goals.
So let this be your reminder that you can do anything that you put your mind to, that there is someone out there that adores you beyond measure, and that you have one chance at this precious life. Grab it with both hands, don't be afraid to try new things, say how you feel, or step outside your comfort zone - you never know what might be hiding behind the door you are too scared to open. Tell those you love exactly how you feel, hug your babies tight, and spend time making memories that make you smile, because one day memories may be all that you have.
